* blkverify: Catch bs->exact_filename overflowMax Reitz2017-06-261-4/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The bs->exact_filename field may not be sufficient to store the full blkverify node filename. In this case, we should not generate a filename at all instead of an unusable one. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We now have macros in place to make it less verbose to add a scalar to QDict and QList, so use them. * qobject: Drop useless QObject castsEric Blake2017-05-081-4/+3Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We have macros in place to make it less verbose to add a subtype of QObject to both QDict and QList. While we have made cleanups like this in the past (see commit fcfcd8ffc, for example), having it be automated by Coccinelle makes it easier to maintain. Patch created mechanically via: spatch --sp-file scripts/coccinelle/qobject.cocci \ --macro-file scripts/cocci-macro-file.h --dir . --in-place then I verified that no manual touchups were required. * block: Do not unref bs->file on error in BD's openMax Reitz2017-04-271-3/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The block layer takes care of removing the bs->file child if the block driver's bdrv_open()/bdrv_file_open() implementation fails. The block driver therefore does not need to do so, and indeed should not unless it sets bs->file to NULL afterwards -- because if this is not done, the bdrv_unref_child() in bdrv_open_inherit() will dereference the freed memory block at bs->file afterwards, which is not good. We can now decide whether to add a "bs->file = NULL;" after each of the offending bdrv_unref_child() invocations, or just drop them altogether. The latter is simpler, so let's do that. * include/qemu/osdep.h: Don't include qapi/error.hMarkus Armbruster2016-03-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 57cb38b included qapi/error.h into qemu/osdep.h to get the Error typedef. Since then, we've moved to include qemu/osdep.h everywhere. Its file comment explains: "To avoid getting into possible circular include dependencies, this file should not include any other QEMU headers, with the exceptions of config-host.h, compiler.h, os-posix.h and os-win32.h, all of which are doing a similar job to this file and are under similar constraints." qapi/error.h doesn't do a similar job, and it doesn't adhere to similar constraints: it includes qapi-types.h. That's in excess of 100KiB of crap most .c files don't actually need. Add the typedef to qemu/typedefs.h, and include that instead of qapi/error.h. Include qapi/error.h in .c files that need it and don't get it now. Include qapi-types.h in qom/object.h for uint16List. Update scripts/clean-includes accordingly. Update it further to match reality: replace config.h by config-target.h, add sysemu/os-posix.h, sysemu/os-win32.h. Update the list of includes in the qemu/osdep.h comment quoted above similarly. This reduces the number of objects depending on qapi/error.h from "all of them" to less than a third. Unfortunately, the number depending on qapi-types.h shrinks only a little. More work is needed for that one. Signed-off-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> [Fix compilation without the spice devel packages. - Paolo] Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>

* block: Pass driver-specific options to .bdrv_refresh_filename()Kevin Wolf2015-12-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to decide whether a blkdebug: filename can be produced or a json: one is necessary, blkdebug checked whether bs->options had more options than just "config", "x-image" or "image" (the latter including nested options). That doesn't work well when generic block layer options are present. This patch passes an option QDict to the driver that contains only driver-specific options, i.e. the options for the general block layer as well as child nodes are already filtered out. If blkverify_parse_filename() has been called, a filename has been given. If it is not prefixed, it is probably really just a plain filename.
