* tcg: Remove support for ia64 as hostRichard Henderson2017-09-051-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | We threatened to remove ia64 as host in v2.9.0. Its time has now come. There are still some usages of defined(__ia64__) throughout the source code that would be triggered if one were to enable TCI on an ia64 host. Leave those alone for now. * nios2: Add disas entriesMarek Vasut2017-01-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add nios2 disassembler support. This patch is composed from binutils files from commit "Opcodes and assembler support for Nios II R2". The files from binutils used in this patch are: include/opcode/nios2.h include/opcode/nios2r1.h include/opcode/nios2r2.h opcodes/nios2-opc.c opcodes/nios2-dis.c Checkpatch says total: 114 errors, 0 warnings, 3609 lines checked , which is caused by a different coding style in those files. These warnings and errors are not addressed To let these files be easily synchronized between binutils and qemu. * Revert "Remove remainders of HPPA backend"Richard Henderson2017-01-231-0/+1

* Remove remainders of HPPA backendThomas Huth2016-09-151-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The HPPA backend has been removed by the following commit: 802b5081233a6b643a8b135a5facaf14bafaa77d tcg-hppa: Remove tcg backend But some small pieces of the HPPA backend still survived until today. Since we also do not have support for a HPPA target in QEMU, we can nowadays safely remove the remaining HPPA parts (like the disassembler code, or the detection of HPPA in the configure script). * disas/libvixl: Suppress gcc 4.6.3 sign-compare warningsPeter Maydell2016-01-121-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The VIXL code includes some equality comparisons between signed and unsigned types. Modern gcc and clang do not complain about these, but older versions of gcc such as gcc 4.6.3 do. Since libvixl is an upstream library, the simplest approach is to suppress the warnings by applying -Wno-sign-compare to the relevant files. (GCC 4.6 is not quite yet irrelevant for us; it is the gcc shipped with Ubuntu Precise, for example, which is an LTS release not yet out of its support period.) * build: convert some obj-specific CFLAGS to use new foo.o-cflags syntaxMichael Tokarev2014-05-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Current Makefile system allows using foo.o-cflags variables to store object-specific CFLAGS. Convert some usages of old syntax (using QEMU_CFLAGS += construct) to the new syntax. Do not touch multifile modules for now, as build system isn't ready for this. * disas: Implement disassembly output for A64Claudio Fontana2014-02-081-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use libvixl to implement disassembly output in debug logs for A64, for use with both AArch64 hosts and targets. Signed-off-by: Claudio Fontana <claudio.fontana@linaro.org> [PMM: * added support for target disassembly * switched to custom QEMUDisassembler so the output format matches what QEMU expects * make sure we correctly fall back to "just print hex" if we didn't build the AArch64 disassembler because of lack of a C++ compiler * rename from 'aarch64' to 'arm-a64' because this is a disassembler for the A64 instruction set * merge aarch64.c and aarch64-cxx.cc into one C++ file * simplify the aarch64.c<->aarch64-cxx.cc interface] Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org>

* build: remove universal-obj-yPaolo Bonzini2013-01-261-15/+15
| | | | | | | | | | All of universal-obj-y, user-obj-y (right now unused) and common-obj-y can be unified into common-obj-y if we take care of defining CONFIG_SOFTMMU and CONFIG_USER_ONLY in the toplevel makefile. This is similar to how we define symbols for hardware components. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Blue Swirl <blauwirbel@gmail.com>
* tci: Fix broken builds with TCG interpreterStefan Weil2013-01-021-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | TCI no longer compiled after commit 76cad71136b7eb371cf2a2a4e1621cfe8d9c769a. The TCI disassembler depends on data structures which are different for each QEMU target, so it cannot be compiled as a universal-obj today.
