* Use OBJECT_DECLARE_SIMPLE_TYPE when possibleEduardo Habkost2020-09-181-3/+1Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts existing DECLARE_INSTANCE_CHECKER usage to OBJECT_DECLARE_SIMPLE_TYPE when possible. $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=AddObjectDeclareSimpleType $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') Signed-off-by: Eduardo Habkost <ehabkost@redhat.com> Acked-by: Paul Durrant <paul@xen.org> Message-Id: <20200916182519.415636-6-ehabkost@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Eduardo Habkost <ehabkost@redhat.com>

* Move QOM typedefs and add missing includesEduardo Habkost2020-09-091-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Patch generated using: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName" declarations. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. * Include hw/hw.h exactly where neededMarkus Armbruster2019-08-161-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/hw.h triggers a recompile of some 2600 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). The previous commits have left only the declaration of hw_error() in hw/hw.h. This permits dropping most of its inclusions. Touching it now recompiles less than 200 objects. * Include migration/vmstate.h lessMarkus Armbruster2019-08-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In my "build everything" tree, changing migration/vmstate.h triggers a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get VMStateDescription. The previous commit made that unnecessary. Include migration/vmstate.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 1600 objects. * Include hw/irq.h a lot lessMarkus Armbruster2019-08-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/irq.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. * hmp: Name HMP info handler functions hmp_info_SUBCOMMAND()Markus Armbruster2015-02-181-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some are called do_info_SUBCOMMAND() (old ones, usually), some hmp_info_SUBCOMMAND(), some SUBCOMMAND_info(), sometimes SUBCOMMAND pointlessly differs in spelling. Normalize to hmp_info_SUBCOMMAND(), where SUBCOMMAND is exactly the subcommand name with '-' replaced by '_'. Exceptions: * sun4m_irq_info(), sun4m_pic_info() renamed to sun4m_hmp_info_irq(), sun4m_hmp_info_pic(). * lm32_irq_info(), lm32_pic_info() renamed to lm32_hmp_info_irq(), lm32_hmp_info_pic(). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After previous Peter patch, they are redundant. This way we don't assign them except when needed. Once there, there were lots of case where the ".fields" indentation was wrong: .fields = (VMStateField []) { and .fields = (VMStateField []) { Change all the combinations to: .fields = (VMStateField[]){ The biggest problem (appart from aesthetics) was that checkpatch complained when we copy&pasted the code from one place to another.
