* hw/xtensa/xtfpga: implement uImage loadingMax Filippov2014-06-291-1/+24
| | | | | | | | | Provide a simple bootloader code at the reset address that jumps to the loaded image entry point when it's not equal to the reset address. This is needed because the old method of setting pc doesn't work due to cpu reset done after the machine setup. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* hw/xtensa/xtfpga: add memory info to bootparamMax Filippov2014-06-292-1/+17
| | | | Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* hw/xtensa/xtfpga: refactor bootparameters fillingMax Filippov2014-06-292-12/+21
| | | | | | | Separate filling first/last tag and size calculation from the kernel command line setup. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* hw/xtensa/xtfpga: use symbolic constants for bootparam tagsMax Filippov2014-06-292-3/+13
| | | | | | | Import bootparam tag names from linux/arch/xtensa/include/asm/bootparam.h No functional changes. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>

* hw/xtensa: remove extraneous xtensa_ prefix from file namesMax Filippov2014-06-294-3/+3
| | | | | | | While at it rename lx60 (named after the first board of the family) to more generic xtfpga (the family name). Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* hw/xtensa/xtfpga: fix FLASH mapping to boot region for KC705Max Filippov2014-06-291-3/+5
| | | | | | | | On KC705 bootloader area is located at FLASH offset 0x06000000, not 0 as on older xtfpga boards. Cc: qemu-stable@nongnu.org Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* machine: Conversion of QEMUMachineInitArgs to MachineStateMarcel Apfelbaum2014-05-282-17/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Total removal of QEMUMachineInitArgs struct. QEMUMachineInitArgs's fields are copied into MachineState. Removed duplicated fields from MachineState. All the other changes are only mechanical refactoring, no semantic changes. | * hw: Clean up bogus default boot orderMarkus Armbruster2013-08-282-3/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We set default boot order "cad" in every single machine definition except "pseries" and "moxiesim", even though very few boards actually care for boot order, and "cad" makes sense for even fewer. Machines that care: * pc and its variants Accept up to three letters 'a', 'b' (undocumented alias for 'a'), 'c', 'd' and 'n'. Reject all others (fatal with -boot). * nseries (n800, n810) Check whether order starts with 'n'. Silently ignored otherwise. * prep, g3beige, mac99 Extract the first character the machine understands (subset of 'a'..'f'). Silently ignored otherwise. * spapr Accept an arbitrary string (vl.c restricts it to contain only 'a'..'p', no duplicates). * sun4[mdc] Use the first character. Silently ignored otherwise. Strip characters these machines ignore from their default boot order. For all other machines, remove the unused default boot order alltogether. Note that my rename of QEMUMachine member boot_order to default_boot_order and QEMUMachineInitArgs member boot_device to boot_order has a welcome side effect: it makes every use of boot orders visible in this patch, for easy review. * cpu: Turn cpu_get_phys_page_debug() into a CPUClass hookAndreas Färber2013-07-232-7/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | Change breakpoint_invalidate() argument to CPUState alongside. Since all targets now assign a softmmu-only field, we can drop helpers cpu_class_set_{do_unassigned_access,vmsd}() and device_class_set_vmsd(). Prepares for changing cpu_memory_rw_debug() argument to CPUState. Acked-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> (for xtensa) Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>

* hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini2013-04-081-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches. Change opaques of various ..._irq_handler() functions to the appropriate CPU type to facilitate using cpu_reset_interrupt(). Fix Coding Style issues while at it (missing braces, indentation).
