* hw: Replace anti-social QOM type namesMarkus Armbruster2021-03-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Several QOM type names contain ',': ARM,bitband-memory etraxfs,pic etraxfs,serial etraxfs,timer fsl,imx25 fsl,imx31 fsl,imx6 fsl,imx6ul fsl,imx7 grlib,ahbpnp grlib,apbpnp grlib,apbuart grlib,gptimer grlib,irqmp qemu,register SUNW,bpp SUNW,CS4231 SUNW,DBRI SUNW,DBRI.prom SUNW,fdtwo SUNW,sx SUNW,tcx xilinx,zynq_slcr xlnx,zynqmp xlnx,zynqmp-pmu-soc xlnx,zynq-xadc These are all device types. They can't be plugged with -device / device_add, except for xlnx,zynqmp-pmu-soc, and I doubt that one actually works. They *can* be used with -device / device_add to request help. Usability is poor, though: you have to double the comma, like this: $ qemu-system-x86_64 -device SUNW,,fdtwo,help Trap for the unwary. The fact that this was broken in device-introspect-test for more than six years until commit e27bd49876 fixed it demonstrates that "the unwary" includes seasoned developers. One QOM type name contains ' ': "ICH9 SMB". Because having to remember just one way to quote would be too easy. Rename the "SUNW,FOO types to "sun-FOO". Summarily replace ',' and ' ' by '-' in the other type names. * Move QOM typedefs and add missing includesEduardo Habkost2020-09-091-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Patch generated using: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName" declarations. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. * Add the ability to select a different PHY for each i.MX6UL FEC interfaceJean-Christophe Dubois2020-07-031-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Add properties to the i.MX6UL processor to be able to select a particular PHY on the MDIO bus for each FEC device. * hw/arm/fsl-imx6ul: Wire up USB controllersGuenter Roeck2020-03-171-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | IMX6UL USB controllers are quite similar to IMX7 USB controllers. Wire them up the same way. The only real difference is that wiring up phy devices is necessary to avoid phy reset timeouts in the Linux kernel. | | | | | | | | | | | | USB1 and USB2 interrupt numbers were swapped. USB_PHY2 interrupt number is 45. That didn't really matter up to now since the interrupts were not used, but it needs to be fixed to be able to wire up the USB controllers. * hw/arm/fsl-imx6ul.c: Remove dead SMP-related codePeter Maydell2019-07-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The i.MX6UL always has a single Cortex-A7 CPU (we set FSL_IMX6UL_NUM_CPUS to 1 in line with this). This means that all the code in fsl-imx6ul.c to handle multiple CPUs is dead code, and Coverity is now complaining that it is unreachable (CID 1403008, 1403011). Remove the unreachable code and the only-executes-once loops, and replace the single-entry cpu[] array in the FSLIMX6ULState with a simple cpu member. * arm: Rename hw/arm/arm.h to hw/arm/boot.hPeter Maydell2019-05-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The header file hw/arm/arm.h now includes only declarations relating to hw/arm/boot.c functionality. Rename it accordingly, and adjust its header comment. The bulk of this commit was created via perl -pi -e 's|hw/arm/arm.h|hw/arm/boot.h|' hw/arm/*.c include/hw/arm/*.h In a few cases we can just delete the #include: hw/arm/msf2-soc.c, include/hw/arm/aspeed_soc.h and include/hw/arm/bcm2836.h did not require it.
