* qemu/atomic.h: rename atomic_ to qatomic_Stefan Hajnoczi2020-09-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | clang's C11 atomic_fetch_*() functions only take a C11 atomic type pointer argument. QEMU uses direct types (int, etc) and this causes a compiler error when a QEMU code calls these functions in a source file that also included <stdatomic.h> via a system header file: $ CC=clang CXX=clang++ ./configure ... && make ../util/async.c:79:17: error: address argument to atomic operation must be a pointer to _Atomic type ('unsigned int *' invalid) Avoid using atomic_*() names in QEMU's atomic.h since that namespace is used by <stdatomic.h>. Prefix QEMU's APIs with 'q' so that atomic.h and <stdatomic.h> can co-exist. I checked /usr/include on my machine and searched GitHub for existing "qatomic_" users but there seem to be none. This patch was generated using: $ git grep -h -o '\<atomic\(64\)\?_[a-z0-9_]\+' include/qemu/atomic.h | \ sort -u >/tmp/changed_identifiers $ for identifier in $(</tmp/changed_identifiers); do sed -i "s%\<$identifier\>%q$identifier%g" \ $(git grep -I -l "\<$identifier\>") done I manually fixed line-wrap issues and misaligned rST tables. * migration/: fix some comment spelling errorszhaolichang2020-09-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | I found that there are many spelling errors in the comments of qemu, so I used the spellcheck tool to check the spelling errors and finally found some spelling errors in the migration folder. * Include less of the generated modular QAPI headersMarkus Armbruster2018-03-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In my "build everything" tree, a change to the types in qapi-schema.json triggers a recompile of about 4800 out of 5100 objects. The previous commit split up qmp-commands.h, qmp-event.h, qmp-visit.h, qapi-types.h. Each of these headers still includes all its shards. Reduce compile time by including just the shards we actually need. To illustrate the benefits: adding a type to qapi/migration.json now recompiles some 2300 instead of 4800 objects. The next commit will improve it further. * Include qapi/error.h exactly where neededMarkus Armbruster2018-02-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This cleanup makes the number of objects depending on qapi/error.h drop from 1910 (out of 4743) to 1612 in my "build everything" tree. While there, separate #include from file comment with a blank line, and drop a useless comment on why qemu/osdep.h is included first. * COLO: Implement the process of failover for primary VMzhanghailiang2016-10-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | For primary side, if COLO gets failover request from users. To be exact, gets 'x_colo_lost_heartbeat' command. COLO thread will exit the loop while the failover BH does the cleanup work and resumes VM. * COLO: Introduce state to record failover processzhanghailiang2016-10-301-0/+41
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | When handling failover, COLO processes differently according to the different stage of failover process, here we introduce a global atomic variable to record the status of failover. We add four failover status to indicate the different stage of failover process. You should use the helpers to get and set the value. * COLO: Add 'x-colo-lost-heartbeat' command to trigger failoverzhanghailiang2016-10-301-0/+42
We leave users to choose whatever heartbeat solution they want, if the heartbeat is lost, or other errors they detect, they can use experimental command 'x_colo_lost_heartbeat' to tell COLO to do failover, COLO will do operations accordingly. For example, if the command is sent to the Primary side, the Primary side will exit COLO mode, does cleanup work, and then, PVM will take over the service work. If sent to the Secondary side, the Secondary side will run failover work, then takes over PVM's service work.
