* migration: wire up support for snapshot device selectionDaniel P. Berrangé2021-02-081-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Modify load_snapshot/save_snapshot to accept the device list and vmstate node name parameters previously added to the block layer. * migration: control whether snapshots are ovewrittenDaniel P. Berrangé2021-02-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The traditional HMP "savevm" command will overwrite an existing snapshot if it already exists with the requested name. This new flag allows this to be controlled allowing for safer behaviour with a future QMP command. Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel P. * migration: stop returning errno from load_snapshot()Daniel P. Berrangé2021-02-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | None of the callers care about the errno value since there is a full Error object populated. This gives consistency with save_snapshot() which already just returns a boolean value. Reviewed-by: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <dgilbert@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel P. * replay: rename step-related variables and functionsPavel Dovgalyuk2019-08-201-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | This patch renames replay_get_current_step() and related variables to make these names consistent with existing 'icount' command line option and future record/replay hmp/qmp commands. * Clean up inclusion of sysemu/sysemu.hMarkus Armbruster2019-08-161-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In my "build everything" tree, changing sysemu/sysemu.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). Almost a third of its inclusions are actually superfluous. Delete them. Downgrade two more to qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h, and move one from char/serial.h to char/serial.c. hw/semihosting/config.c, monitor/monitor.c, qdev-monitor.c, and stubs/semihost.c define variables declared in sysemu/sysemu.h without including it. The compiler is cool with that, but include it anyway. This doesn't reduce actual use much, as it's still included into widely included headers. The next commit will tackle that. * replay: allow loading any snapshots before recordingPavel Dovgalyuk2018-10-021-5/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch enables using -loadvm in recording mode to allow starting the execution recording from any of the available snapshots. It also fixes loading of the record/replay state, therefore snapshots created in replay mode may also be used for starting the new recording. * replay: save vmstate of the asynchronous eventsPavel Dovgalyuk2018-03-121-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes saving and loading the snapshots in the replay mode. It is required for the snapshots created in the moment when the header of the asynchronous event is read. This information was not saved in the snapshot. After loading the vmstate replay continued with the file offset passed the event header. The event header is lost in this case and replay hangs. * replay: fix save/load vm for non-empty queuePavel Dovgalyuk2018-03-121-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch does not allows saving/loading vmstate when replay events queue is not empty. There is no reliable way to save events queue, because it describes internal coroutine state. Therefore saving and loading operations should be deferred to another record/replay step. * migration: pre_save return intDr. David Alan Gilbert2017-09-271-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Modify the pre_save method on VMStateDescription to return an int rather than void so that it potentially can fail. Changed zillions of devices to make them return 0; the only case I've made it return non-0 is hw/intc/s390_flic_kvm.c that already had an error_report/return case. Note: If you add an error exit in your pre_save you must emit an error_report to say why.
