* pvrdma: wean code off pvrdma_ring.h kernel headerCornelia Huck2021-03-151-2/+1Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The pvrdma code relies on the pvrdma_ring.h kernel header for some basic ring buffer handling. The content of that header isn't very exciting, but contains some (q)atomic_*() invocations that (a) cause manual massaging when doing a headers update, and (b) are an indication that we probably should not be importing that header at all. Let's reimplement the ring buffer handling directly in the pvrdma code instead. This arguably also improves readability of the code. Importing the header can now be dropped. This also removes the IA64 and MIPS from a KVM blacklist: Linux dropped IA64, and there was never a reason to exclude MIPS from kvm specifically - it was excluded due to dependency of its unistd.h on sgidefs.h, which we also import. We do not want to copy linux/hyperv.h. The solution is to make cp_virtio (now renamed to cp_portable) copy one file only, instead of using the "find" command, and call it multiple times. * powerpc: linux header sync script includes epapr_hcalls.hBharat Bhushan2013-01-071-0/+3
| | | | | | | | epapr_hcalls.h is now referenced by kvm_para.h. so this is needed for QEMU to get compiled on powerpc. Signed-off-by: Bharat Bhushan <bharat.bhushan@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Alexander Graf <agraf@suse.de>
* update-linux-headers.sh: Handle new kernel uapi/ directoriesPeter Maydell2012-10-311-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Recent kernels have moved to keeping the userspace headers in uapi/ subdirectories. This breaks the detection of whether an architecture has KVM support in the kernel because kvm.h has moved in the kernel source tree. Update the check to support both the old and new locations. * update-linux-headers.sh: Don't hard code list of architecturesPeter Maydell2012-09-111-1/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Rather than hardcoding the list of architectures in the kernel header update script, just import headers for every architecture which supports KVM (with a blacklist exception for ia64 which has KVM headers but is dead). This reduces the number of QEMU files which need to be updated to add support for a new KVM architecture. * update-linux-headers.sh: Pull in asm-generic/kvm_para.hPeter Maydell2012-08-151-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | Add asm-generic/kvm_para.h to the set of non-architecture specific KVM kernel headers we copy into QEMU. This header may be included by an architecture's kvm_para.h header. * Add kernel header update scriptJan Kiszka2011-06-201-0/+55
This helper pulls the required kernel headers for KVM and vhost into a specified directory. The update is triggered via scripts/update-linux-headers.sh LINUX_PATH and will place the output under linux-headers/linux and linux-headers/asm-*. It also imports the COPYING to care for headers without an explicit license.
