* target/alpha: Tidy helper_fp_exc_raise_sRichard Henderson2019-09-261-11/+4Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove a redundant masking of ignore. Once that's gone it is obvious that the system-mode inner test is redundant with the outer test. Move the fpcr_exc_enable masking up and tidy. No functional change. | | | | | | | | | | Since we're converting the swcr to fpcr format for exceptions, it's trivial to add FPCR_DNZ to the set of fpcr bits overriden. No functional change. * target/alpha: Fix SWCR_TRAP_ENABLE_MASKRichard Henderson2019-09-261-9/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The CONFIG_USER_ONLY adjustment blindly mashed the swcr exception enable bits into the fpcr exception disable bits. However, fpcr_exc_enable has already converted the exception disable bits into the exception status bits in order to make it easier to mask status bits at runtime. Instead, merge the swcr enable bits with the fpcr before we convert to status bits. * target/alpha: fix tlb_fill trap_arg2 value for instruction fetchAurelien Jarno2019-08-251-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit e41c94529740cc26 ("target/alpha: Convert to CPUClass::tlb_fill") slightly changed the way the trap_arg2 value is computed in case of TLB fill. The type of the variable used in the ternary operator has been changed from an int to an enum. This causes the -1 value to not be sign-extended to 64-bit in case of an instruction fetch. The trap_arg2 ends up with 0xffffffff instead of 0xffffffffffffffff. Fix that by changing the -1 into -1LL. This fixes the execution of user space processes in qemu-system-alpha. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | sysemu/sysemu.h is a rather unfocused dumping ground for stuff related to the system-emulator. Evidence: * It's included widely: in my "build everything" tree, changing sysemu/sysemu.h still triggers a recompile of some 1100 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h, down from 5400 due to the previous two commits). * It pulls in more than a dozen additional headers. Split stuff related to run state management into its own header sysemu/runstate.h. Touching sysemu/sysemu.h now recompiles some 850 objects. qemu/uuid.h also drops from 1100 to 850, and qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h from 4400 to 4200. Touching new sysemu/runstate.h recompiles some 500 objects. Since I'm touching MAINTAINERS to add sysemu/runstate.h anyway, also add qemu/main-loop.h. * qom/cpu: Simplify how CPUClass:cpu_dump_state() printsMarkus Armbruster2019-04-182-14/+13Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CPUClass method dump_statistics() takes an fprintf()-like callback and a FILE * to pass to it. Most callers pass fprintf() and stderr. log_cpu_state() passes fprintf() and qemu_log_file. hmp_info_registers() passes monitor_fprintf() and the current monitor cast to FILE *. monitor_fprintf() casts it right back, and is otherwise identical to monitor_printf(). The callback gets passed around a lot, which is tiresome. The type-punning around monitor_fprintf() is ugly. Drop the callback, and call qemu_fprintf() instead. Also gets rid of the type-punning, since qemu_fprintf() takes NULL instead of the current monitor cast to FILE *. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The various TARGET_cpu_list() take an fprintf()-like callback and a FILE * to pass to it. Their callers (vl.c's main() via list_cpus(), bsd-user/main.c's main(), linux-user/main.c's main()) all pass fprintf() and stdout. Thus, the flexibility provided by the (rather tiresome) indirection isn't actually used. Drop the callback, and call qemu_printf() instead. Calling printf() would also work, but would make the code unsuitable for monitor context without making it simpler. * icount: fix cpu_restore_state_from_tb for non-tb-exit casesPavel Dovgalyuk2018-04-112-5/+3Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In icount mode, instructions that access io memory spaces in the middle of the translation block invoke TB recompilation. After recompilation, such instructions become last in the TB and are allowed to access io memory spaces. When the code includes instruction like i386 'xchg eax, 0xffffd080' which accesses APIC, QEMU goes into an infinite loop of the recompilation. This instruction includes two memory accesses - one read and one write. After the first access, APIC calls cpu_report_tpr_access, which restores the CPU state to get the current eip. But cpu_restore_state_from_tb resets the cpu->can_do_io flag which makes the second memory access invalid. Therefore the second memory access causes a recompilation of the block. Then these operations repeat again and again. This patch moves resetting cpu->can_do_io flag from cpu_restore_state_from_tb to cpu_loop_exit* functions. It also adds a parameter for cpu_restore_state which controls restoring icount. There is no need to restore icount when we only query CPU state without breaking the TB. Restoring it in such cases leads to the incorrect flow of the virtual time. In most cases new parameter is true (icount should be recalculated). But there are two cases in i386 and openrisc when the CPU state is only queried without the need to break the TB. This patch fixes both of these cases. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As cpu.h is another typically widely included file which doesn't need full access to the softfloat API we can remove the includes from here as well. As a result of not having softfloat in every cpu.h call we now need to add it to various helpers that do need the full softfloat.h definitions. * accel/tcg: add size paremeter in tlb_fill()Laurent Vivier2018-01-253-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The MC68040 MMU provides the size of the access that triggers the page fault. This size is set in the Special Status Word which is written in the stack frame of the access fault exception. So we need the size in m68k_cpu_unassigned_access() and m68k_cpu_handle_mmu_fault(). To be able to do that, this patch modifies the prototype of handle_mmu_fault handler, tlb_fill() and probe_write(). do_unassigned_access() already includes a size parameter. This patch also updates handle_mmu_fault handlers and tlb_fill() of all targets (only parameter, no code change).
