* iotests: Keep testing broken relative extent pathsMax Reitz2019-09-031-0/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | We had a test for a case where relative extent paths did not work, but unfortunately we just fixed the underlying problem, so it works now. This patch adds a new test case that still fails. | | | | | | | | | | This makes iotest 033 pass with e.g. subformat=monolithicFlat. It also turns a former error in 059 into success. * qemu-iotests: Improve portability by searching bash in the $PATHPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé2019-03-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bash is not always installed as /bin/bash. In particular on OpenBSD, the package installs it in /usr/local/bin. Use the 'env' shebang to search bash in the $PATH. Patch created mechanically by running: $ git grep -lE '#! ?/bin/bash' -- tests/qemu-iotests \ | while read f; do \ sed -i 's|^#!.\?/bin/bash$|#!/usr/bin/env bash|' $f; \ done Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Running git grep '\$here' tests/qemu-iotests has 0 hits, which means we are setting a variable that has no use. It appears that commit e8f8624d removed the last use. So execute the following cmd to remove all of the 'here=...' lines as dead code. sed -i '/^here=/d' $(git grep -l '^here=' tests/qemu-iotests) Cc: kwolf@redhat.com Cc: mreitz@redhat.com Cc: eblake@redhat.com Suggested-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Mao Zhongyi <maozhongyi@cmss.chinamobile.com> Message-Id: <20181024094051.4470-3-maozhongyi@cmss.chinamobile.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> [eblake: touch up commit message, reorder series, rebase to master] Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | The AFL image is to exercise the code validating image size, which doesn't work on 32 bit or when out of memory (there is a large allocation before the interesting point). So check that and skip the test, instead of faking the result. * qemu-iotests/059: Fix leaked image filesKevin Wolf2017-08-011-1/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | qemu-iotests 059 left a whole lot of image files behind in the scratch directory because VMDK creates additional files for extents and cleaning them up requires the original image intact (it parses qemu-img info output to find all extent files), but the image overwrote it many times like it works for all other image formats. In addition, _use_sample_img overwrites the TEST_IMG variable, causing new images created afterwards to reuse the name of the sample file rather than the usual t.IMGFMT. This patch adds an intermediate _cleanup_test_img after each subtest that created an image file with additional extent files, and also after each use of a sample image. _cleanup_test_img is also changed so that it resets TEST_IMG after a sample image is cleaned up. Note that this test was failing before this commit and continues to do so after it. This failure was introduced in commit 9877860 ('block/vmdk: Report failures in vmdk_read_cid()') and needs to be dealt with separately. * iotests: Specify qcow2 format for qemu-io in 059Max Reitz2014-12-101-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | There are two instances of iotest 059 using qemu-io on a qcow2 image. As of "qemu-iotests: Use qemu-io -f $IMGFMT" the iotests can no longer rely on $QEMU_IO doing probing, therefore the qcow2 format has to be specified explicitly here.
