* iotests: define group in each iotestVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy2021-01-201-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We are going to drop group file. Define group in tests as a preparatory step. The patch is generated by cd tests/qemu-iotests grep '^[0-9]\{3\} ' group | while read line; do file=$(awk '{print $1}' <<< "$line"); groups=$(sed -e 's/^... //' <<< "$line"); awk "NR==2{print \"# group: $groups\"}1" $file > tmp; cat tmp > $file; done Signed-off-by: Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy <vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Message-Id: <20210116134424.82867-7-vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>
* iotests/221: Discard image before qemu-img mapMax Reitz2020-12-111-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | See the new comment for why this should be done. I do not have a reproducer on master, but when using FUSE block exports, this test breaks depending on the underlying filesystem (for me, it works on tmpfs, but fails on xfs, because the block allocated by file-posix has 16 kB there instead of 4 kB). * iotests: Enable fuse for many testsMax Reitz2020-12-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many tests (that do not support generic protocols) can run just fine with FUSE-exported images, so allow them to. Note that this is no attempt at being definitely complete. There are some tests that might be modified to run on FUSE, but this patch still skips them. This patch only tries to pick the rather low-hanging fruits. Note that 221 and 250 only pass when .lseek is correctly implemented, which is only possible with a libfuse that is 3.8 or newer. * iotests: Test unaligned raw images with O_DIRECTMax Reitz2019-05-201-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We already have 221 for accesses through the page cache, but it is better to create a new file for O_DIRECT instead of integrating those test cases into 221. This way, we can make use of _supported_cache_modes (and _default_cache_mode) so the test is automatically skipped on filesystems that do not support O_DIRECT. As part of the split, add _supported_cache_modes to 221. With that, it no longer fails when run with -c none or -c directsync. * iotests: Tweak 221 sizing for different hole granularitiesEric Blake2019-05-071-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | For some particular configurations of ext4, sizing an image to 84 sectors + 1 byte causes test failures when the size of the hole is rounded to a 4k alignment. Let's instead size things to 128 sectors + 1 byte, as the 64k boundary is more likely to work with various hole granularities. * qemu-iotests: Improve portability by searching bash in the $PATHPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé2019-03-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bash is not always installed as /bin/bash. In particular on OpenBSD, the package installs it in /usr/local/bin. Use the 'env' shebang to search bash in the $PATH. Patch created mechanically by running: $ git grep -lE '#! ?/bin/bash' -- tests/qemu-iotests \ | while read f; do \ sed -i 's|^#!.\?/bin/bash$|#!/usr/bin/env bash|' $f; \ done Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
* qemu-iotests: remove unused variable 'here'Mao Zhongyi2018-11-191-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Running git grep '\$here' tests/qemu-iotests has 0 hits, which means we are setting a variable that has no use. It appears that commit e8f8624d removed the last use. So execute the following cmd to remove all of the 'here=...' lines as dead code. sed -i '/^here=/d' $(git grep -l '^here=' tests/qemu-iotests) Cc: kwolf@redhat.com Cc: mreitz@redhat.com Cc: eblake@redhat.com Suggested-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Mao Zhongyi <maozhongyi@cmss.chinamobile.com> Message-Id: <20181024094051.4470-3-maozhongyi@cmss.chinamobile.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> [eblake: touch up commit message, reorder series, rebase to master] Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>
* iotests: Add test 221 to catch qemu-img map regressionEric Blake2018-06-151-0/+60
Although qemu-img creates aligned files (by rounding up), it must also gracefully handle files that are not sector-aligned. Test that the bug fixed in the previous patch does not recur. It's a bit annoying that we can see the (implicit) hole past the end of the file on to the next sector boundary, so if we ever reach the point where we report a byte-accurate size rather than our current behavior of always rounding up, this test will probably need a slight modification.
