_GTS and _BFS were added to the suspend/resume flow
in the ACPI 2.0 specification.
Linux dutifully implemented _GTS and _BFS.
We discovered that it was rarely seen in systems
in the field. Further, some of those systems had
AML so bogus that it could never work -- proof that
no other operating system supports _GTS and _BFS.
So we made _GTS and _BFS optional via modparam,
and disabled them by default.
But we've had to complicate some code to keep
this support in the kernel, as these methods are defined
to be evaluated very close to sleep entry and exit.
Indeed, no other AML is ever evaluated with interrupts off.
We have submitted a proposal for _GTS and _BFS
to be officially removed from the ACPI specification
on the next revision. Here we remove it from Linux.

_ios_obj() is accessed by group_index not device_table index.
The oc->comps array is only a group_full of devices at a time
it is not like ore_comp_dev() which is indexed by a global
device_table index.
This did not BUG until now because exofs only uses a single
COMP for all devices. But with other FSs like PanFS this is
not true.
This bug was only in the write_path, all other users were
using it correctly

exofs_max_io_pages should just use the ORE's
calculated layout->max_io_length,
And avoid unnecessary BUGs, calculations made here were
also a layering violation.

It is very common for the end of the file to be unaligned on
stripe size. But since we know it's beyond file's end then
the XOR should be preformed with all zeros.
Old code used to just read zeros out of the OSD devices, which is a great
waist. But what scares me more about this situation is that, we now have
pages attached to the file's mapping that are beyond i_size. I don't
like the kind of bugs this calls for.
Fix both birds, by returning a global ZERO_PAGE, if offset is beyond
i_size.

Exofs has the '->write_super()' handler and makes some use of the '->s_dirt'
superblock flag, but it really needs neither of them because it never sets
's_dirt' to one which means the VFS never calls its '->write_super()' handler.
Thus, remove both.
Note, I am trying to remove both 's_dirt' and 'write_super()' from VFS
altogether once all users are gone.

readpage_strip can be called from several code paths all of which
require that the page be locked before any operations are carried
out.
Since we export the exofs_readpage callback to the VFS, add a
BUG_ON to check for PageLocked(page) to make sure that this
understanding is never compromised.

Fix by avoiding the optimization on i386 and reloading ds, es on the
lightweight exit path.

When a guest migrates to a new host, the system time difference from the
previous host is used in the updates to the kvmclock system time visible
to the guest, resulting in a continuation of correct kvmclock based guest
timekeeping.
The wall clock component of the kvmclock provided time is currently not
updated with this same time offset. Since the Linux guest caches the
wall clock based time, this discrepency is not noticed until the guest is
rebooted. After reboot the guest's time calculations are off.
This patch adjusts the wall clock by the kvmclock_offset, resulting in
correct guest time after a reboot.

After commit 242ec97c358256 PIT interrupts are no longer delivered after
PIC reset. It happens because PIT injects interrupt only if previous one
was acked, but since on PIC reset it is dropped from irr it will never
be delivered and hence acknowledged. Fix that by calling ack notifier on
PIC reset.

Check if the chip has provided a write operation (which is mandatory for
I/O) rather than looking for control data as some of the MFDs use a global
for this. Also skip the attempt if there's no regmap available by device
in case things get confused by the attempt to default.

Since commit 38cbf9598feba97de9f9b43efa9153fd7c1a2ec9
("ASoC: core: Try to use regmap if the driver doesn't set up any I/O")
any ASoC codec which doesn't set codec::control_data is assumed
to use regmap. That doesn't work with AC97 so this workaround
sets the codec::control_data member to a random value to restore
proper behaviour.
Tested with WM9712.

Thought to be another merge error, board-mop500-msp.h has never existed
in the upstream kernel, only msp.h. This patch changes the include files

Ensures that we don't interact badly with the power management framework,

There's a driver bug that sgtl5000 dapm widget kcontrols do not work.
e.g. can not select capture mux with amixer tool(no error info prompted).
The root cause is that we still call snd_soc_dapm_new_widgets in
codec driver probe function afer converting to table based widgets.
This will cause the card dapm widgets are instantiated before the
dapm_routes are registered.
Then, no available dapm widget pathes can be found during instantiation
which finally will cause soc_dapm_mux_update_power to fail(can not find
correct path with kcontrol) in snd_soc_dapm_put_enum_double function.
Here we remove the unneeded snd_soc_dapm_new_widgets in codec probe
and let the soc core to handle the register sequence properly.
Then we can fix above issue.

Set an initial clock rate for the saif internal logic to work
properly. This is important when working in EXTMASTER mode that
uses the other saif's BITCLK&LRCLK but it still needs a basic
clock which should be fast enough for the internal logic.

Currently we directly call a clock_enable in trigger function without
a clk_prepare as pair first.
This will cause system hang immediately when run capture because
the clock was not prepared(playback does not hang because the clock was
prepared already by get_mclk before), a warning message in clock framework
may cause a deadlock to reclaim clock lock (see: pl011_console_write).
Here we prepare clock first in hw_param, then enable it in trigger
function to guarantee the balance.

If uaddr == uaddr2, then we have broken the rule of only requeueing
from a non-pi futex to a pi futex with this call. If we attempt this,
as the trinity test suite manages to do, we miss early wakeups as
q.key is equal to key2 (because they are the same uaddr). We will then
attempt to dereference the pi_mutex (which would exist had the futex_q
been properly requeued to a pi futex) and trigger a NULL pointer
dereference.

Sandy Bridge processors follow the SDM (Vol 3B, Table 15-20) and
set both the RIPV and EIPV bits in the MCG_STATUS register to
zero for machine checks during instruction fetch. This is more
than a little counter-intuitive and means that Linux cannot
recover from these errors. Rather than insert special case code
at several places in mce.c and mce-severity.c, we pretend the
EIPV bit was set for just this case early in processing the
machine check.

In the current kernel, percpu variable `vector_irq' is not always
cleared when a CPU is offlined. If the CPU that has the disabled
irqs in vector_irq is hotplugged again, __setup_vector_irq()
hits invalid irq vector and may crash.
This bug can be reproduced as following;
# echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu7/online
# modprobe -r some_driver_using_interrupts # vector_irq@cpu7 uncleared
# echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu7/online # kernel may crash
To fix this problem, this patch clears vector_irq in
__fixup_irqs() when the CPU is offlined.
This also reverts commit f6175f5bfb4c, which partially fixes
this bug by clearing vector in __clear_irq_vector(). But in
environments with IOMMU IRQ remapper, it could fail because
cfg->domain doesn't contain offlined CPUs. With this patch, the
fix in __clear_irq_vector() can be reverted because every
vector_irq is already cleared in __fixup_irqs() on offlined CPUs.

The Intel case falls through into the generic case which then changes
the values. For cases like the P6 it doesn't do the right thing so
this seems to be a screwup.

Ingo noted that the numerous timekeeper.value references made
the timekeeping code ugly and caused many long lines that
had to be broken up. He recommended replacing timekeeper.value
references with tk->value.
This patch provides a local tk value for all top level time
functions and sets it to &timekeeper. Then all timekeeper
access is done via a tk pointer.

For performance reasons, we maintain ktime_t based duplicates of
wall_to_monotonic (offs_real) and total_sleep_time (offs_boot).
Since large problems could occur (such as the resume regression
on 3.5-rc7, or the leapsecond hrtimer issue) if these value
pairs were to be inconsistently updated, this patch this cleans
up how we modify these value pairs to ensure we are always
consistent.
As a side-effect this is also more efficient as we only
caulculate the duplicate values when they are changed,
rather then every update_wall_time call.
This also provides WARN_ONs to detect if future changes break
the invariants.

CLOCK_TICK_RATE is a legacy constant that defines the timer
device's granularity. On hardware with particularly coarse
granularity, this constant is used to reduce accumulated
time error when using jiffies as a clocksource, by calculating
the hardware's actual tick length rather then just assuming
it is 1sec/HZ.
However, for the most part this is unnecessary, as most modern
systems don't use jiffies for their clocksource, and their
tick device is sufficiently fine grained to avoid major error.
Thus, this patch allows an architecture to not define
CLOCK_TICK_RATE, in which case ACTHZ defaults to (HZ << 8).
