qxl_bo structure has two reference counters, one in the GEM object and
another in the TTM object. The GEM object keep a counter to the TTM object
so when GEM counter reached zero the TTM counter (using qxl_bo_unref) was
decremented. The qxl object is fully freed (both GEM and TTM part are cleaned)
when the TTM counter reach zero.
One issue was that surface idr structure has no owning on qxl_bo objects however
it contains a pointer to qxl_bo object. This caused some nasty race condition
for instance qxl_bo object was reaped even after counter was already zero.
This patch fix these races moving main counter (the one used by qxl_bo_(un)ref)
to GEM object which cleanup routine (qxl_gem_object_free) remove the idr pointer
(using qxl_surface_evict) when the counters are still valid.

This patch adds a kms driver for the virtio gpu. The xorg modesetting
driver can handle the device just fine, the framebuffer for fbcon is
there too.
Qemu patches for the host side are under review currently.
The pci version of the device comes in two variants: with and without
vga compatibility. The former has a extra memory bar for the vga
framebuffer, the later is a pure virtio device. The only concern for
this driver is that in the virtio-vga case we have to kick out the
firmware framebuffer.
Initial revision has only 2d support, 3d (virgl) support requires
some more work on the qemu side and will be added later.

Adds a CONFIG_DRM_TILCDC_SLAVE_COMPAT module for "ti,tilcdc,slave"
node conversion. The implementation is in tilcdc_slave_compat.c and it
uses tilcdc_slave_compat.dts as a basis for creating a DTS
overlay. The DTS overlay adds an external tda998x encoder to tilcdc
that corresponds to the old tda998x based slave encoder.

Add support for an external compontised DRM encoder. The external
encoder can be connected to tilcdc trough device tree graph binding.
The binding document for tilcdc has been updated. The current
implementation supports only tda998x encoder.
To be able to filter out the unsupported video modes the tilcdc driver
needs to hijack the external connectors helper functions. The tilcdc
installes new helper functions that are otherwise identical to
orignals, but the mode_valid() call-back check the mode first localy,
before calling the original call-back. The tilcdc dirver restores the
original helper functions before it is unbound from the external
device.

Commit 338d9dd3e2ae ("ARM: 8351/1: perf: don't warn about missing
interrupt-affinity property for PPIs") added a check for PPIs so that
we avoid parsing the interrupt-affinity property for these naturally
affine interrupts.
Unfortunately, this check can trigger an early (successful) return and
we will leak the irqs array. This patch fixes the issue by reordering
the code so that the check is performed before any independent
allocation.

Josh Stone reports:
I've discovered a case where both arm and arm64 will miss a ptrace
syscall-exit that they should report. If the syscall is entered
without TIF_SYSCALL_TRACE set, then it goes on the fast path. It's
then possible to have TIF_SYSCALL_TRACE added in the middle of the
syscall, but ret_fast_syscall doesn't check this flag again.
Fix this by always checking for a syscall trace in the fast exit path.

At boot time we round the memblock limit down to section size in an
attempt to ensure that we will have mapped this RAM with section
mappings prior to allocating from it. When mapping RAM we iterate over
PMD-sized chunks, creating these section mappings.
Section mappings are only created when the end of a chunk is aligned to
section size. Unfortunately, with classic page tables (where PMD_SIZE is
2 * SECTION_SIZE) this means that if a chunk is between 1M and 2M in
size the first 1M will not be mapped despite having been accounted for
in the memblock limit. This has been observed to result in page tables
being allocated from unmapped memory, causing boot-time hangs.
This patch modifies the memblock limit rounding to always round down to
PMD_SIZE instead of SECTION_SIZE. For classic MMU this means that we
will round the memblock limit down to a 2M boundary, matching the limits
on section mappings, and preventing allocations from unmapped memory.
For LPAE there should be no change as PMD_SIZE == SECTION_SIZE.

Use conditional assembly to avoid a microMIPS code size regression.
Using $at unconditionally would cause such a regression as there are no
16-bit instruction encodings available for ALU operations using this
register. Using $v1 unconditionally would produce short microMIPS
encodings, but would prevent this register from being used across calls
to this function.
The extra LI operation introduced is free, replacing a NOP originally
scheduled into the delay slot of the branch that follows.

Use the generic mechanism to declare a bitmap instead of unsigned long.
This could fix an overwrite defect of whatever follows irq_map.
Not all "#define NR_IRQS <value>" are a multiple of BITS_PER_LONG so
using DECLARE_BITMAP allocates the proper number of longs required
for the possible bits.
For instance:
arch/mips/include/asm/mach-ath79/irq.h:#define NR_IRQS 51
arch/mips/include/asm/mach-db1x00/irq.h:#define NR_IRQS 152
arch/mips/include/asm/mach-lantiq/falcon/irq.h:#define NR_IRQS 328

The MIPS Common Device Memory Map (CDMM) is internal to the core and has
native endianness. There is therefore no need to byte swap the accesses
on big endian targets, so convert the Fast Debug Channel (FDC) TTY
driver to use __raw_readl()/__raw_writel() rather than
ioread32()/iowrite32().

Linux-3.7 added CONFIG_BOOTPARAM_HOTPLUG_CPU0,
allowing systems to offline cpu0.
But when cpu0 is offline, turbostat will not run:
# turbostat ls
turbostat: no /dev/cpu/0/msr
This patch replaces the hard-coded use of cpu0 in turbostat
with the current cpu, allowing it to run without a cpu0.
Fewer cross-calls may also be needed due to use of current cpu,
though this hard-coding was used only for the --debug preamble.

Changes mainly to account for minor differences in Knights Landing(KNL):
1. KNL supports C1 and C6 core states.
2. KNL supports PC2, PC3 and PC6 package states.
3. KNL has a different encoding of the TURBO_RATIO_LIMIT MSR

"These are mostly minor fixes, with the exception of the following that
address fall-out from recent v4.1-rc1 changes:
- regression fix related to the big fabric API registration changes
and configfs_depend_item() usage, that required cherry-picking one
of HCH's patches from for-next to address the issue for v4.1 code.
- remaining TCM-USER -v2 related changes to enforce full CDB
passthrough from Andy + Ilias.
Also included is a target_core_pscsi driver fix from Andy that
addresses a long standing issue with a Scsi_Host reference being
leaked on PSCSI device shutdown"

We don't assign pi_ctx to desc->pi_ctx until we're certain to succeed
in the function. That means the cleanup path should use the local
pi_ctx variable, not desc->pi_ctx.

Aside from whether they handle BIDI ops or not, parsing of the CDB by
kernel and user SCSI passthrough modules should be identical. Move this
into a new passthrough_parse_cdb() and call it from tcm-pscsi and tcm-user.
