* drm/radeon: properly filter DP1.2 4k modes on non-DP1.2 hwAlex Deucher2015-01-051-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The check was already in place in the dp mode_valid check, but radeon_dp_get_dp_link_clock() never returned the high clock mode_valid was checking for because that function clipped the clock based on the hw capabilities. Add an explicit check in the mode_valid function. bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87172 Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <alexander.deucher@amd.com> Cc:stable@vge.kernel.org
* drm/radeon: add locking around atombios scratch space usageDave Airlie2014-11-111-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | While developing MST support I noticed I often got the wrong data back from a transaction, in a racy fashion. I noticed the scratch space wasn't locked against concurrent users. Based on a patch by Alex, but I've made it a bit more obvious when things are locked. * drm: extract dp link train delay functions from radeonDaniel Vetter2012-10-221-17/+10Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This requires a few changes since that dpcd value is above the range currently cached by radeon. I've check the dp specs, and above 0xf there's a big gap and nothing that looks like we should cache it while a given device is plugged in. It's also the same value that i915.ko uses. Hence extend the various dpcd arrays in the radeon driver, use proper symbolic constants where applicable (one place overallocated the dpcd array to 25 bytes). Then also drop the rd_interval cache - radeon_dp_link_train_init re-reads the dpcd block, so the values we'll consume in train_cr and train_ce will always be fresh. To avoid needless diff-churn, #define the old size of dpcd as the new one and keep it around. v2: Alex Deucher noticed one place where I've forgotten to replace 8 with DP_RECEIVER_CAP_SIZE. * drm/radeon: fix non revealent error messageJerome Glisse2012-07-251-3/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We want to print link status query failed only if it's an unexepected fail. If we query to see if we need link training it might be because there is nothing connected and thus link status query have the right to fail in that case. To avoid printing failure when it's expected, move the failure message to proper place.
