* drivers/net: can: Convert timers to use timer_setup()Kees Cook2017-10-271-11/+8Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer() to pass the timer pointer explicitly. * drivers: net: can: use setup_timer() helper.Allen Pais2017-09-211-6/+4Star
| | | | | | | | Use setup_timer function instead of initializing timer with the function and data fields. Signed-off-by: Allen Pais <allen.lkml@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* docs: fix locations of several documents that got movedMauro Carvalho Chehab2016-10-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The previous patch renamed several files that are cross-referenced along the Kernel documentation. Adjust the links to point to the right places. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
* can: grcan: don't touch skb after netif_rx()Marc Kleine-Budde2015-07-151-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | There is no guarantee that the skb is in the same state after calling net_receive_skb() or netif_rx(). It might be freed or reused. Not really harmful as its a read access, except you turn on the proper debugging options which catch a use after free. * can: constify of_device_id arrayFabian Frederick2015-03-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | of_device_id is always used as const. (See driver.of_match_table and open firmware functions) Signed-off-by: Fabian Frederick <fabf@skynet.be> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: can: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang2014-10-201-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
* can: Unify MTU settings for CAN interfacesOliver Hartkopp2014-03-171-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | CAN interfaces only support MTU values of 16 (CAN 2.0) and 72 (CAN FD). Setting the MTU to other values is pointless but it does not really hurt. With the introduction of the CAN FD support in drivers/net/can a new function to switch the MTU for CAN FD has been introduced. This patch makes use of this can_change_mtu() function to check for correct MTU settings also in legacy CAN (2.0) devices. * net: can: use platform_{get,set}_drvdata()Jingoo Han2013-06-031-3/+2Star
| | | | | | | | | | | | Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using platform_device instead of using dev_{get,set}_drvdata() with &pdev->dev, so we can directly pass a struct platform_device. Also, unnecessary dev_set_drvdata() is removed, because the driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. * drivers: net: can: grcan: use devm_ioremap_resource()Laurent Navet2013-05-161-4/+3Star
| | | | | | | | | | Replace a call to deprecated devm_request_and_ioremap by devm_ioremap_resource. dev_err() message is no more needed since it's already displayed in devm_ioremap_resource(). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit.
