* [S390] pm: smsgiucv power management callbacks.Martin Schwidefsky2009-06-161-3/+60
| | | | | | | | Create dummy iucv-device to get control when the system is suspended and resumed. Server the smsg iucv path on suspend, reestablish the path on resume. Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>

* [S390] use LIST_HEAD instead of LIST_HEAD_INITDenis Cheng2008-01-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | single list_head variable initialized with LIST_HEAD_INIT could almost always can be replaced with LIST_HEAD declaration, this shrinks the code and looks better. Signed-off-by: Denis Cheng <crquan@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
* [S390] Fix smsgiucv init on no iucv machinesChristian Borntraeger2007-11-051-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | smsgiucv is a driver that relies on iucv to work properly. If iucv ans smsgiucv are compiled into the kernel and run on an lpar the following scenario happens: iucv is initialized early as a subsystem. It checks for z/VM and returns with EPROTONOTSUPPORT. Later smsgiucv tries to run driver_register with iucv_bus as bus. As this bus is not initialized the driver core and list debugging issue several warnings and oopses. Solution is to let smsgiucv also check for z/VM and return EPROTONOTSUPPORT as well. * [PATCH] s390: iucv message limit for smsgMartin Schwidefsky2006-03-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The message limit on the iucv connect call for the smsg module is too low. Therefore increase the smsg message limit to 255. * [PATCH] s390: cmm guest sender idMartin Schwidefsky2005-05-011-5/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | An arbitrary guest must not be allowed to trigger cmm actions. Only one specific guest namely the one that serves as the resource monitor may send cmm messages. Add a parameter that allows to specify the guest that may send messages. z/VMs resource manager has the name 'VMRMSVM' which is the default. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
