Now that the SPDX tag is in all android files, that identifies the
license in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text
wording can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.
This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.
No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.

It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.
Update the android driver files with the correct SPDX license identifier
based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a
legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler
plate text.
This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, Philippe
Ombredanne, and Kate Stewart.

ion_handle was introduced as an abstraction to represent a reference to
a buffer via an ion_client. As frameworks outside of Ion evolved, the dmabuf
emerged as the preferred standard for use in the kernel. This has made
the ion_handle an unnecessary abstraction and prone to race
conditions. ion_client is also now only used internally. We have enough
mechanisms for race conditions and leaks already so just drop ion_handle
and ion_client. This also includes ripping out most of the debugfs
infrastructure since much of that was tied to clients and handles.
The debugfs infrastructure was prone to give confusing data (orphaned
allocations) so it can be replaced with something better if people
actually want it.

Several of the Ion ioctls were designed in such a way that they
necessitate compat ioctls. We're breaking a bunch of other ABIs and
cleaning stuff up anyway so let's follow the ioctl guidelines and clean
things up while everyone is busy converting things over anyway. As part
of this, also remove the useless alignment field from the allocation
structure.

Ion clients currently lack a good method to determine what
heaps are available and what ids they map to. This leads
to tight coupling between user and kernel space and headaches.
Add a query ioctl to let userspace know the availability of

Change SYNC_IOC_FILE_INFO (former SYNC_IOC_FENCE_INFO) behaviour to avoid
future API breaks and optimize buffer allocation.
Now num_fences can be filled by the caller to inform how many fences it
wants to retrieve from the kernel. If the num_fences passed is greater
than zero info->sync_fence_info should point to a buffer with enough space
to fit all fences.
However if num_fences passed to the kernel is 0, the kernel will reply
with number of fences of the sync_file.
Sending first an ioctl with num_fences = 0 can optimize buffer allocation,
in a first call with num_fences = 0 userspace will receive the actual
number of fences in the num_fences filed.
Then it can allocate a buffer with the correct size on sync_fence_info and
call SYNC_IOC_FILE_INFO again, but now with the actual value of num_fences
in the sync_file.
info->sync_fence_info was converted to __u64 pointer to prevent 32bit
compatibility issues. And a flags member was added.
An example userspace code for the later would be:
struct sync_file_info *info;
int err, size, num_fences;
info = malloc(sizeof(*info));
info.flags = 0;
err = ioctl(fd, SYNC_IOC_FILE_INFO, info);
num_fences = info->num_fences;
if (num_fences) {
info.flags = 0;
size = sizeof(struct sync_fence_info) * num_fences;
info->num_fences = num_fences;
info->sync_fence_info = (uint64_t) calloc(num_fences,
sizeof(struct sync_fence_info));
err = ioctl(fd, SYNC_IOC_FILE_INFO, info);
}
Finally the IOCTLs numbers were changed to avoid any potential old
userspace running the old API to get weird errors. Changing the opcodes
will make them fail right away. This is just a precaution, there no
upstream users of these interfaces yet and the only user is Android, but
we don't expect anyone trying to run android userspace and all it
dependencies on top of upstream kernels.

The functionality provided by the Android alarm-dev driver
should now be present in the timerfd interface (thanks to
Greg Hackmann and Todd Poynor).
As of Lollipop, AOSP can make use of the timerfd if
alarm-dev is not present (though a fixup for setting the
rtc time if rtc0 isn't the backing for _ALARM clockids has
been applied post-Lollipop).
Thus, we should be able to remove alarm-dev from staging.

For 64bit systems we want to use the same binder interface for 32bit and
64bit processes. Thus the size and the layout of the structures passed
between the kernel and the userspace has to be the same for both 32 and
64bit processes.
This change replaces all the uses of void* and size_t with
binder_uintptr_t and binder_size_t. These are then typedefed to specific
sizes depending on the use of the interface, as follows:
* __u32 - on legacy 32bit only userspace
* __u64 - on mixed 32/64bit userspace where all processes use the same
interface.
This change also increments the BINDER_CURRENT_PROTOCOL_VERSION to 8 and
hooks the compat_ioctl entry for the mixed 32/64bit Android userspace.
This patch also provides a CONFIG_ANDROID_BINDER_IPC_32BIT option for
compatability, which if set which enables the old protocol, setting
BINDER_CURRENT_PROTOCOL_VERSION to 7, on 32 bit systems.
Please note that all 64bit kernels will use the 64bit Binder ABI.

BC_REQUEST_DEATH_NOTIFICATION and BC_CLEAR_DEATH_NOTIFICATION were
defined with the wrong structure that did not match the code. Since a
binder pointer and handle are the same size on 32 bit systems, this
change does not affect them. The two commands claimed they were using
struct binder_ptr_cookie but they are using a 32bit handle and a pointer.
The main purpose of this patch is to add the binder_handle_cookie
struct so the service manager does not have to define its own version
(libbinder writes one field at a time so it does not use the struct).
On 32bit systems the payload size is the same as the size of struct
binder_ptr_cookie. On 64bit systems, the size does differ, and the
ioctl number does change. However, there are no known 64bit users of
this interface, and any 64bit systems will need the following patch to
run 32 bit processes anyway, so it is not expected that anyone will
ship a 64bit system without this change, so this change should not
affect any existing systems.

Prior to subitting this, Colin reworked the compat_ioctl support
for the ion_test driver, moving the structure to be the same size
on both 32 and 64 bit architectures.
Two small things were left out. The compat_ioctl ptr assignment,
and the fact that despite having uniform sized types in the
structure, the structure pads out to different sizes on different
arches.
This patch resolves this issue by adding a padding entry after
the write flag, and adding the compat_ioctl ptr.
