This also propagates through the drivers.
The orinoco driver uses the cfg80211 API structs for internal
bookkeeping, and so needs a (void *) cast that removes the
const - but that's OK because it allocates those pointers.

This will allow the low level driver to make decision based

4) If VLAN untagging fails, we double free the SKB in the bridging

5) Several call sites of sk->sk_data_ready() were referencing an SKB
just added to the socket receive queue in order to calculate the
second argument via skb->len. This is dangerous because the moment
the skb is added to the receive queue it can be consumed in another
context and freed up.
It turns out also that none of the sk->sk_data_ready()
implementations even care about this second argument.
So just kill it off and thus fix all these use-after-free bugs as a
side effect.
6) Fix inverted test in tcp_v6_send_response(), from Lorenzo Colitti.
7) pktgen needs to do locking properly for LLTX devices, from Daniel
Borkmann.
8) xen-netfront driver initializes TX array entries in RX loop :-) From

Several spots in the kernel perform a sequence like:
skb_queue_tail(&sk->s_receive_queue, skb);
sk->sk_data_ready(sk, skb->len);
But at the moment we place the SKB onto the socket receive queue it
can be consumed and freed up. So this skb->len access is potentially
to freed up memory.
Furthermore, the skb->len can be modified by the consumer so it is
possible that the value isn't accurate.
And finally, no actual implementation of this callback actually uses
the length argument. And since nobody actually cared about it's
value, lots of call sites pass arbitrary values in such as '0' and
even '1'.
So just remove the length argument from the callback, that way there
is no confusion whatsoever and all of these use-after-free cases get
fixed as a side effect.
Based upon a patch by Eric Dumazet and his suggestion to audit this
issue tree-wide.

Potentially overflowing expression "(f_rf + f_if + f_if1) * lo_div"
with type "unsigned int" (32 bits, unsigned) is evaluated using 32-bit
arithmetic before being used in a context which expects an expression
of type "u64" (64 bits, unsigned). To avoid overflow, cast either
operand to "u64" before performing the multiplication.

Assorted cleanups and fixes, plus a large preparatory part of iov_iter

"Here are some more staging patches for 3.15-rc1.
They include a late-submission of a wireless driver that a bunch of
people seem to have the hardware for now. As it's stand-alone, it
should be fine (now passes the 0-day random build bot tests).
There are also some fixes for the unisys drivers, as they were causing
havoc on a number of different machines. To resolve all of those
issues, we just mark the driver as BROKEN now, and we can fix it up
"properly" over time"

Converting the driver from the original RTL provided version, by error
converted the code to use four, which caused all sorts of issues. The
confusion was caused by the RTL driver having support for both two and
four paths, and in some places had RF_PATH_MAX = 3. At the same time
it kept the data structures hard coded for two paths, in particular
the ones matching the efuse data.

Turns out these drivers like to mess around with the system even if the
hardware they control isn't present. That's not good, and people are
starting to report lots of issues with this in their build/boot testing.
So for now, let's just mark them as BROKEN, until the code gets
converted to use the proper driver model interaction (i.e. don't do
anything until the hardware is actually found in the system.)

Since the last time I've looked more of this stuff sprouted up. Stomp
it down again.
Repeating the original justification for ripping this all out: There's
absolutely no need to deteach connectors before cleaning them up at
driver unload time. And since drm doesn't support hotplugging kms
objects at all it's positively dangerous to attempt this at runtime.
Luckily imx only detachs at driver cleanup time and hence we can
savely remove this.

It's only used by imx, and that one gets it wrong - there's no need
to deteach the encoder before removing it.
And really, neither current drm modesetting code nor all the userspace
we have can handle dynamic changes in the set of possible encoders for
a given connector. So let's just remove this before someone starts
doing something really nasty with it.
As a plus, one less kerneldoc comment to write.

It uses the unnecessary S_IFREG bit which broke when my
stricter-checking-for-mode patch went in.
Since we're fixing it anyway, the extra level of indirection is
confusing for readers (ROOT_W == rw-r--r-- for example).
Also, many of these are other-writable. Is that really intended?

Pull renameat2 system call from Miklos Szeredi:
"This adds a new syscall, renameat2(), which is the same as renameat()
but with a flags argument.
The purpose of extending rename is to add cross-rename, a symmetric
variant of rename, which exchanges the two files. This allows
interesting things, which were not possible before, for example
atomically replacing a directory tree with a symlink, etc... This
also allows overlayfs and friends to operate on whiteouts atomically.
Andy Lutomirski also suggested a "noreplace" flag, which disables the
overwriting behavior of rename.
These two flags, RENAME_EXCHANGE and RENAME_NOREPLACE are only
implemented for ext4 as an example and for testing"

The of_graph_get_next_endpoint() function was moved and renamed by
commit fd9fdb78a9bf ("[media] of: move graph helpers from
drivers/media/v4l2-core to drivers/of"). It was originally called
v4l2_of_get_next_endpoint() and lived in the file
drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-of.c.
In that original location, it was then fixed to support empty port
nodes by commit b9db140c1e46 ("[media] v4l: of: Support empty port
nodes"), and that commit clashes badly with the dropped "Reduce
intendation" commit. I had to choose one or the other, and decided
that the "Support empty port nodes" commit was more important ]

Implement SDR driver for Realtek RTL2832U chip as a DVB extension
module. SDR module is attached by DVB USB RTL28XXU driver as a DVB
SEC (satellite equipment controller) module. Abusing unused SEC here
has no harm as that is DVB-T only frontend.
SDR functionality is provided by RTL2832 DVB-T demodulator. I suspect
it is originally planned for DAB and FM, but it could be abused general
SDR, due to modern silicon tuners that has wide frequency range and a
lot of configurable parameters (filters, gains, ...).

That value is coming from the user and we need only ensure it is
reasonable. That was pointed by Hans when reviewing rtl2832_sdr driver.

Remove MSi001 RF tuner related code as MSi001 functionality is moved
to own driver.
Implement SPI master adapter.
Attach MSi001 driver via SPI / V4L subdev framework.

That RF tuner driver is bound via SPI bus model and it implements V4L
subdev API. I split it out from MSi3101 SDR driver.
MSi3101 = MSi2500 + MSi001.
