| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some machines apparently give us bogus linelength/stride/pitch data, so we need to support letting the DMI table override the supplied data. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Whenever the LCDC is to be started or stopped, a board callback is checked for existence and invoked. Prior to the invokation, the callback's module lock is also acquired, to be released once the callback returns. However, the order of testing makes it possible for the lock to be acquired and not released in case the callback does not exist. This patch reorders the tests to prevent this particular case. Without this parameter, sci_console_init is called during early console setup without any port being initialized, and the kernel crashes a little bit later when uart_set_options attemps to invoke set_termios on a port with an ops member equal to NULL. This patch just checks in sci_console_init that the port is properly initialized, and aborts the early console setup if it is not. The reason is that rtc_device_register() calls rtc_read_alarm() after that change, which function does not have all driver data set up yet. The rtc-mrst driver needs to call dev_set_drvdata() before rtc_device_register() gets called.
