* edac: convert sysdev_class to a regular subsystemKay Sievers2011-12-151-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | After all sysdev classes are ported to regular driver core entities, the sysdev implementation will be entirely removed from the kernel. * edac: Move edac main structs to include/linux/edac.hMauro Carvalho Chehab2011-10-311-0/+350
| | | | | | | | | | | As we'll need to use those structs for trace functions, they should be on a more public place. So, move struct mem_ctl_info & friends to edac.h. No functional changes on this patch. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Doug Thompson <dougthompson@xmission.com>
* atomic: use <linux/atomic.h>Arun Sharma2011-07-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This allows us to move duplicated code in <asm/atomic.h> (atomic_inc_not_zero() for now) to <linux/atomic.h> Signed-off-by: Arun Sharma <asharma@fb.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Cc: David Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Cc: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> Acked-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* EDAC: Export edac sysfs class to users.Borislav Petkov2010-10-211-0/+4
| | | | | | | | Move toplevel sysfs class to the stub and make it available to non-modularized code too. Add proper refcounting of its users and move the registration functionality into the reference counting routines. Signed-off-by: Borislav Petkov <borislav.petkov@amd.com>
* edac: fix module initialization on several modules 2nd timeHitoshi Mitake2008-04-291-1/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I implemented opstate_init() as a inline function in linux/edac.h. added calling opstate_init() to: i82443bxgx_edac.c i82860_edac.c i82875p_edac.c i82975x_edac.c I wrote a fixed patch of edac-fix-module-initialization-on-several-modules.patch, and tested building 2.6.25-rc7 with applying this. It was succeed. I think the patch is now correct. * drivers/edac: add new nmi rescanDave Jiang2007-07-191-0/+29
Provides a way for NMI reported errors on x86 to notify the EDAC subsystem pending ECC errors by writing to a software state variable. Here's the reworked patch. I added an EDAC stub to the kernel so we can have variables that are in the kernel even if EDAC is a module. I also implemented the idea of using the chip driver to select error detection mode via module parameter and eliminate the kernel compile option. Please review/test. Thx! Also, I only made changes to some of the chipset drivers since I am unfamiliar with the other ones. We can add similar changes as we go.
