* block: sed-opal: ioctl for writing to shadow mbrJonas Rabenstein2019-06-291-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Allow modification of the shadow mbr. If the shadow mbr is not marked as done, this data will be presented read only as the device content. Only after marking the shadow mbr as done and unlocking a locking range the actual content is accessible. * block: sed-opal: add ioctl for done-mark of shadow mbrJonas Rabenstein2019-06-291-0/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Enable users to mark the shadow mbr as done without completely deactivating the shadow mbr feature. This may be useful on reboots, when the power to the disk is not disconnected in between and the shadow mbr stores the required boot files. Of course, this saves also the (few) commands required to enable the feature if it is already enabled and one only wants to mark the shadow mbr as done. * block: sed-opal: PSID reverttper capabilityRevanth Rajashekar2019-06-291-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | PSID is a 32 character password printed on the drive label, to prove its physical access. This PSID reverttper function is very useful to regain the control over the drive when it is locked and the user can no longer access it because of some failures. However, *all the data on the drive is completely erased*. This method is advisable only when the user is exhausted of all other recovery methods. PSID capabilities are described in: https://trustedcomputinggroup.org/wp-content/uploads/TCG_Storage-Opal_Feature_Set_PSID_v1.00_r1.00.pdf Signed-off-by: Revanth Rajashekar <revanth.rajashekar@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@kernel.dk>

* License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with a licenseGreg Kroah-Hartman2017-11-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many user space API headers have licensing information, which is either incomplete, badly formatted or just a shorthand for referring to the license under which the file is supposed to be. This makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. Update these files with an SPDX license identifier. The identifier was chosen based on the license information in the file. GPL/LGPL licensed headers get the matching GPL/LGPL SPDX license identifier with the added 'WITH Linux-syscall-note' exception, which is the officially assigned exception identifier for the kernel syscall exception: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work". This exception makes it possible to include GPL headers into non GPL code, without confusing license compliance tools. Headers which have either explicit dual licensing or are just licensed under a non GPL license are updated with the corresponding SPDX identifier and the GPLv2 with syscall exception identifier. The format is: ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR SPDX-ID-OF-OTHER-LICENSE) SPDX license identifiers are a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. The update does not remove existing license information as this has to be done on a case by case basis and the copyright holders might have to be consulted. This will happen in a separate step. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for the methodology of how this patch was researched. * Fix SED-OPAL UAPI structs to prevent 32/64 bit size differences.Scott Bauer2017-02-071-17/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch is a quick fixup of the user structures that will prevent the structures from being different sizes on 32 and 64 bit archs. Taking this fix will allow us to *NOT* have to do compat ioctls for the sed code.
