* ARM: 8282/1: sa1100: use handle_domain_irqDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2015-01-291-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | Use handle_domain_irq instead of handle_IRQ to automatically map hardware irq number to virq. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8281/1: sa1100: move GPIO-related IRQ code to gpio driverDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2015-01-291-174/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | | | As a part of driver consolidation, move GPIO-related IRQ code to drivers/gpio/gpio-sa1100.c. The code does not use GPIOLIB_IRQCHIP (yet), because sa1100 does not have a device for gpios, which is a requirement for GPIOLIB_IRQCHIP. This will be the next step. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8280/1: sa1100: switch to irq_domain_add_simple()Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov2015-01-291-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | As now both SC and GPIO irq domains start from 0 hwirq and do not contain holes, switch to using irq_domain_add_simple() instead of irq_domain_add_legacy(). Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8279/1: sa1100: merge both GPIO irqdomainsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2015-01-291-46/+11Star
| | | | | | | | | Now there is no difference between low and high GPIO irqdomains. Merge them into single irqdomain handling all GPIOs. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8278/1: sa1100: split irq handling for low GPIOsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2015-01-291-37/+50
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Low GPIO pins use an interrupt in SC interrupts space. However it's possible to handle them as if all the GPIO interrupts are instead tied to single GPIO handler, which later decodes GEDR register and chain-calls next IRQ handler. So split first 11 interrupts into system part (IRQ_GPIO0_SC - IRQ_GPIO10_SC) which work exactly like the rest of system controller interrupts and real GPIO interrupts (IRQ_GPIO0..IRQ_GPIO10). A single handler sa1100_gpio_handler then decodes and calls next handler. * ARM: 8234/1: sa1100: reorder IRQ handling codeDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2014-12-031-89/+66Star
| | | | | | | | | | This patch just reorders functions/data inside sa1100 irq driver to be able to merge functions that have the same code after converting to irqdomains and hwirq. No real code changes. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8233/1: sa1100: switch to hwirq usageDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2014-12-031-23/+14Star
| | | | | | | | | | Switch internally to using hardware irq numbers (hwirq). In case of GPIO interrupts, hwirq is equal to GPIO number. In case of system interrupts, hwirq is equal to interrupt number in the interrupt controller. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8232/1: sa1100: merge GPIO multiplexer IRQ to "normal" irq domainDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2014-12-031-2/+1Star
| | | | | | | | | | | IRQ_GPIO11_27 is a shared IRQ receiving IRQs from "high" GPIOs. It is still handled by sa1100_normal_chip, so there is no point to exclude it from "normal" irq domain. The IRQF_VALID flag set by domain map function will be cleared by irq_set_chained_handler() internally. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8231/1: sa1100: introduce irqdomains supportDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2014-12-031-17/+61
| | | | | | | | | | Use irqdomains to manage both system and GPIO interrupts on SA1100 SoC family. This opens path to further cleanup and unification in sa1100 IRQ drivers. * ARM: 8229/1: sa1100: replace irq numbers with names in irq driverDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2014-12-031-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | In preparation for further changes replace direct IRQ numbers with pre-defined names. This imposes no real code changes. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: 8227/1: sa1100: switch to MULTI_IRQ_HANDLERDmitry Eremin-Solenikov2014-12-031-0/+20
| | | | | | | | | | Add sa1100_handle_irq implementating handle_irq for sa1100 platform. It is more or less a translation of old assembly code from assembler to plain C. Also install this irq handler from sa1100_init_irq(). Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Tested-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* ARM: sa11x0/pxa: convert OS timer registers to IOMEMRussell King2012-07-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Make the OS timer registers have IOMEM like properities so they can be passed to readl_relaxed/writel_relaxed() et.al. rather than being straight volatile dereferences. Add linux/io.h includes where required. linux/io.h includes added to arch/arm/mach-sa1100/cpu-sa1100.c, arch/arm/mach-sa1100/jornada720_ssp.c, arch/arm/mach-sa1100/leds-lart.c drivers/input/touchscreen/jornada720_ts.c, drivers/pcmcia/sa1100_shannon.c from Arnd. This fixes these warnings: arch/arm/mach-sa1100/time.c: In function 'sa1100_timer_init': arch/arm/mach-sa1100/time.c:104: warning: passing argument 1 of 'clocksource_mmio_init' discards qualifiers from pointer target type arch/arm/mach-pxa/time.c: In function 'pxa_timer_init': arch/arm/mach-pxa/time.c:126: warning: passing argument 1 of 'clocksource_mmio_init' discards qualifiers from pointer target type Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* [ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King2008-08-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 5179/1: Replace obsolete IRQT_* and __IRQT_* values with IRQ_TYPE_*Dmitry Baryshkov2008-07-271-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | IRQT_* and __IRQT_* were obsoleted long ago by patch [3692/1]. Remove them completely. * [ARM] 4961/1: gpiolib support for SA-1100 architectureDmitry Baryshkov2008-04-101-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | This adds gpiolib support for the SA-1100 arch: - Move all GPIO API functions from generic.c into gpio.c - Convert all gpio functions into gpiolib callbacks. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Baryshkov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* Driver core: change sysdev classes to use dynamic kobject namesKay Sievers2008-01-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | All kobjects require a dynamically allocated name now. We no longer need to keep track if the name is statically assigned, we can just unconditionally free() all kobject names on cleanup. Signed-off-by: Kay Sievers <kay.sievers@vrfy.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
* [ARM] Remove needless linux/ptrace.h includesRussell King2007-04-211-1/+0Star
| | | | | | | | | Lots of places in arch/arm were needlessly including linux/ptrace.h, resumably because we used to pass a struct pt_regs to interrupt handlers. Now that we don't, all these ptrace.h includes are redundant. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove compatibility layer for ARM irqsRussell King2006-11-301-4/+4

* Initial blind fixup for arm for irq changesLinus Torvalds2006-10-061-3/+2Star
| | | | | | | Untested, but this should fix up the bulk of the totally mechanical issues, and should make the actual detail fixing easier. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [ARM] 3739/1: genirq updates: irq_chip, add and use irq_chip.nameDavid Brownell2006-08-011-3/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from David Brownell ARM genirq cleanups/updates: - Start switching platforms to newer APIs * use "irq_chip" name, not "irqchip" * providing irq_chip.name - Show irq_chip.name in /proc/interrupts, like on x86. This update a bit more than half of the ARM code. The irq_chip.name values were chosen to match docs (if I have them) or be otherwise obvious ("FPGA", "CPLD", or matching the code). * [ARM] Allow SA1100 RTC alarm to be configured for wakeupRussell King2006-05-061-0/+16
| | | | | | | | | The SA1100 RTC alarm can be configured to wake up the CPU from sleep mode, and the RTC driver has been using the API to configure this mode. Unfortunately, the code was which sets the required bit in the hardware was missing. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King2005-09-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Change irq_chip wake/type methods to set_wake/set_typeRussell King2005-09-041-4/+4
| | | | | | | | This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we rename two of the irq_chip methods - wake becomes set_wake, and type becomes set_type. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-171-0/+332
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
